It’s the end of an era and the final part of the 4th series of the Eighth Doctor with Big Finish sees an ending on an epic scale. Following the dark moments of the ‘Lucie Miller’ story, the Doctor and Lucie are reunited but the Daleks have control of the Earth and the Monk and Tamsin are cataloguing the last of the relics of civilization. There is no future for the human race.

Lucie, Alex and Susan are part of the tattered remnants of the human resistance. They have a desperate plan to stop the Daleks but they need the Doctor more than ever.
If you thought ‘Lucie Miller’ was moving and grim then be prepared to shed many more tears. This is truly the end for the Earth. The Daleks have learned from their previous mistakes and this invasion of the Earth is well planned to replicate the past and soon the ghastly fate of the planet is revealed. Desperate times need desperate measures and no one has anything left to lose. This final episode goes all out to give us a taste of the big-budget spectacular.

I feel sure that you will find it both thrilling, interesting and moving. To say anymore would spoil the plot but I don’t think you will feel short changed by the heart-wrenching events.

This series of adventures has been excellent and the darkness surrounding this Doctor reaches out to grab us by the throat and shake us until we beg it to stop. This has been a thrilling ride with Lucie and the Doctor and this episode wraps it up with the departure of the Doctor, travelling alone to his next adventure.
