Soon as I spotted this on one of my recently rare excursions, it was an immediate purchase to pair off with my 'Thunderbirds' CD - see my earlier review.

This CD covers the themes and musical suites from 18 episodes from the Gerry and Sylvia Anderson TV series 'Captain Scatlet And The Mysterons' with a nifty little booklet to accompany it at a reasonable price.

Captain Scarlet by Barry GrayAll the reason to buy it as the late composer Barry Gray is one of UK's greats when it comes to TV theme music.

What makes this CD of interest is the sound queue for the arrow through the logo intro being isolated and variations used in commercial breaks and the Lyons Maid Ice Cream advert as much as the musical cues.

They simply haven't been available elsewhere. Tim Mallett and Ralph Titterton have done a nice job of putting this material together and even if you weren't an ardent fan of the indestructable man, this is quite a nice way to while away over an hour's listening.

Looking forward to the UFO release, chaps.
