In many respects, Season Two of 'The Six Million Dollar Man' has to be regarded as its finest season with a lot of things tried, mostly successfully, and the one most fans will remember. After all, it introduced two new bionic people even if they were regarded as failures. 'The Seven Million Dollar Man' Barney Millar (or Miller - the spelling changes between appearance - actor Monte Markham) because it made him mentally unstable and 'The Bionic Woman' for bionic transplant rejection.

It also saw 'The Return Of The Robot Maker' (scene-stealing brilliant actor Henry Jones), the twin of John Capper (actor Gary Lockwood) seeking revenge and Steve Austin's second encounter with aliens through the beautiful but oddly-coloured eyed actress Meg Foster.

Watching Season Two ended up me making mental notes that I hadn't seen a couple of the episodes and they certainly weren't in the late 1980s repeats. One is quite understandable as 'Outrage In Balinderry' was so thinly disguised as the Northern Ireland 'troubles' at the time with Austin clearly over his head interestingly enough.

The adventures see bionic man Steve Austin put into a lot of trouble. With so many people knowing what he is, its amazing none of them thought to really broadcast the news although it was touched on in 'The Peeping Blonde'. Quite how Oscar Goldman could keep anything secret when he rotated his secretaries every 3 months and only giving them a Level 3 security clearance I don't know but its understandable why bosses now have more permanent Personal Assistants today.

In many respects, the stories are fairly consistent to its own bible as to what Austin can and can't do. If anything, its Goldman himself who forgets things like them using ESP the previous year with this season's 'The E.S.P. Spy' and getting himself in tangles without informing his pal first when investigating a gold mine.

This is certainly a blast from the past and if you want to relive your time again from the mid-70s or show your children or grand-children what you used to enjoy, the series still holds up pretty well.
