A Renaissance for Renaissance?

The SFF e-book publisher bulks up for 2004.

Renaissance look set to continue aggressively with their program of reprinting classic SFF novels and are begining to develop their own line of original titles as well.

They've just brought out the first three books in Stefan Vucak's EPPIE-nominee 'Shadow God's space opera saga, as well as the newest, 'A Whisper from Shadow', and will be issuing the next novel which he's due to complete next summer.

They have also recently contracted a four-volume series by Jac Eddins, 'The Minstrel's Song, and will probably release all four at the same time.

Renaissance are releasing a new "classic" pulp publication, Nemesis Magazine, the brainchild of cover artist and pulp fan Stephen Adams, who has previously provided covers for several of their erotica titles. Each issue will feature a "complete book-length" novel of action-adventure set in the 1930s, written by Stephen, and featuring one of his two fast-thinking, fast-acting, luscious heroines: Gun Moll or Rachel Rocket.

The first issue of Nemesis, featuring Tentacles of Evil with Gun Moll, Undercover Nemesis of Crime!, will be out in March. Stephen will, of course, also be providing the cover paintings.

Readers can read samples and see previews of the covers at his Nemesis site: http://www.geocities.com/solitary_bird/nemesis.html

Renaissance have acquired the rights to Raymond F. Jones' novel, 'Renaissance'. We will be releasing 'Star Bright & Other Science Fiction' by Mark Clifton.

And, following their reprinting in 2003 of authorized ebook editions of 'Dwellers in the Mirage' (which contained both endings), 'The Metal Monster' (as The Lightning Witch), and all his short stories, they will be publishing the first uncut reprinting of A. Merritt's celebrated short novel, 'The Moon Pool' and its sequel, 'Conquest of the Moon Pool'.
