Is the magazine of 'Fantastic Feline Fiction' a sub-genre too far?

Pushing the concept of niche genre magazines to the outer limits, our chum Sean Wallace at Wildside Press has dropped us a line about the addition of 'Cat Tales: the Magazine of Fantastic Feline Fiction' to his stable of forthcoming new magazines.

This advance into the virgin green fields of furry fantasy will also debut alongside their other planned titles - 'Adventure Tales' and 'Underworlds' - at the World Science Fiction Convention in Boston, September 2004.

The first issue of feline mischief features work by Jack Williamson, Nancy Springer, Fritz Leiber, among others.
