Interaction, the 63rd World Science Fiction Convention, has urged anyone considering attending the convention to become a full attending member now, as new membership rates of £110 will come into effect on December 1st 2004.
The child admission rate (15 years and under) will remain at £32 ($50/EUR 50) with infants 6 and under remaining free. This, they said, reflects their policy to encourage families and children of all ages to attend the convention.
The rate for a supporting membership also stays unchanged at £30 ($45/EUR 45). Supporting to Attending Upgrades will continue to be based on the difference between New Supporting and New Attending rates.
Vincent Docherty, Co-Chair of the Convention, commented: "despite this increase, Interaction remains tremendous value for money. Our membership rate is all inclusive, and for barely £20 per day members will get a dozen parallel tracks of panels and workshops, an academic conference, 3 streams of video and anime presentations, 6000 square metres of dealers, artists and exhibit space and over 100 autograph sessions from writers and other professionals from around the world of science fiction".
Information on registration and payment options, along with membership rates in a range of additional currencies, is available from Interaction's website at: http://www.interaction.worldcon.org.uk/joining.htm
