Writer Andrew Fox is interviewed on this month's episode of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction.
Fox discusses his New Orleans based vampire novels, Fat White Vampire Blues and Bride of the Fat White Vampire.
In the interview, which was recorded well before Hurricane Katrina caused so much damage to the Gulf Coast, Fox talks about his fondness for New Orleans, and the importance of the city as the setting for his fiction. He also discusses the many dramatic changes occurring in the region. A video version of the complete interview is available online at www.fast-forward.tv.
The September episode of Fast Forward also features Colleen Cahill's review of the Luna Books fantasy Poison Study, written by Maria V. Snyder.
Marianne Petrino reviews the anime series Get Backers in this month's media segment.
Note: The destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina has forced Mr. Fox and his family to relocate out of Louisiana temporarily. The producers of Fast Forward wish them well, and hope that the Fox family can return to their home in New Orleans soon.
