Geffen 2005 winners

The winners of the Israeli SF 2005 Geffen Awards were announced in Tel Aviv during the annual ICon science fiction convention

The award honors the memory of Amos Geffen, a prominent science fiction editor and translator, who died in 1998.

The convention's guest of honor, author Tim Powers, presented the award for the year's best original hebrew book.

The winners are...

Translated SF book:

Childhood's End / Arthur C. Clarke, translated by David Hanoch (Yanshuf Press).

Translated Fantasy Book:

Transformation / Carol Berg, translated by David Hanoch (Graf Press).

Original Hebrew Short Story:

The Perfect Girl / Guy Hasson, translated by Vered Tochterman (Dreams in Aspamia magazine).

Original Hebrew Book:

End's World / Ofir Touche Gafla (Keter Press).
