Writer Jonathan Lethem is interviewed on this month's episode of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction. Lethem discusses his recent collection of autobiographical essays, The Disappointment Artist.
In conversation with host Tom Schaad, Lethem talks about how he got started writing essays. He also discusses how the essay writing has affected his outlook on the world, and helped him reexamine his relationship with his family.

Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction is a monthly half-hour television series about the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Fast Forward is produced by D.G. Productions through the facilities of Arlington Independent Media in Arlington, Virginia. The show has been in production since 1989 and can be viewed on cable systems in the Virginia counties of Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun, as well as Baltimore City in Maryland.
