The Blade of the King, a concept fantasy film, is coming to online movie site ifilm.com
Bringing together one hundred people from Texas during the Summer of 2005, 'From the Flames Productions' has produced a 6:31 minute concept film based on the tale of Beowulf designed as an aid in pitching to either private investors or studio executives in the hopes of gaining financing for a feature film version.
The Blade of the King concept film was finished in late 2005, and was shot for just under $3600. The film was shot in Texas, which hopes to soon be recognized as the "Third coast" in American filmmaking. Mark Sickle, William Blesch and Robin Blesch produced it. The film was directed by William Blesch.
This film is currently being sent out to film festivals including the Austin Underground Film Festival, the Santa Cruz Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Festival among others.
