The Clone Wars
"General Kenobi, years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars..." - Princess Leia Organa
Mentioned twice in passing in the original Star Wars movie, the Clone Wars were long a tantalizing enigma, an element of the Star Wars universe that became an integral part of the prequel trilogy. Fans longed to explore this era for decades, but the secrets of the Clone Wars could not be fully revealed until all the pieces of the Star Wars saga were in place. Episode II ignited the Clone Wars, exploding on the screen as the Battle of Geonosis, the first engagement of the lengthy conflict. But Attack of the Clones was just a prologue. In Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, viewers saw the climactic finale of the Clone Wars. These are the stories that take place between Episodes II and III.
Star Wars: Shatterpoint
Mace Windu is a living legend: Jedi Master, senior member of the Jedi Council, skilled diplomat, devastating fighter. Some say he is the deadliest man alive. But he is a man of peace-and for the first time in a thousand years, the galaxy is at war. Now, following the momentous events climaxing in the Battle of Geonosis, Master Mace Windu must undertake a perilous homecoming to his native world-to defuse a potentially catastrophic crisis for the Republic . . . and to confront a terrifying mystery with dire personal consequences.
Star Wars: The Cestus Deception
Ord Cestus, a planet mostly barren and inhospitable to life, was first colonized as a prison world-until a handful of hardy pioneers discovered its rich ore deposits and managed to build up a successful droid-manufacturing industry. But when the Clone Wars erupted, bringing severe rationing of imported resources and a Republic ban on the production of battle droids, Ord Cestus was threatened with imminent economic collapse.
Star Wars: MedStar 1: Battle Surgeons
While the Clone Wars wreak havoc throughout the galaxy, the situation on the far world of Drongar is desperate, as Republic forces engage in a fierce fight with the Separatists. Extended ground fighting has persisted on the planet Drongar, home to bota, a valuable pharmaceutical plant. The story follows the battle surgeons of Rimsoo Seven where the Jedi Healer Barriss Offee serves her tour of duty.
Star Wars: MedStar 2: Jedi Healer
The threatened enemy offensive begins as the Separatists employ legions of droids into their attack. Even with reinforcements, the flesh and blood of the Republic forces are just no match for battle droids' durasteel. Nowhere is this point more painfully clear than in the steaming Jasserak jungle, where the doctors and nurses of a small med unit face an impossible situation. As the dead and wounded start to pile up, surgeons Jos Vandar and Kornell "Uli" Divini know that time is running out.
Star Wars: Jedi Trial
"Within twenty-four standard hours we will sit firmly astride the communications link that connects the worlds of the Republic. . . . Our control will be a dagger thrust directly at Coruscant. This is the move that will win the war for us." With these ominous words, Pors Tonith, ruthless minion of Count Dooku, declares the fate of the Republic sealed. Commanding a Separatist invasion force more than one million strong, the cunning financier-turned-warrior lays siege to the planet Praesitlyn, home of the strategic intergalactic communications center that is key to the Republic's survival in the Clone Wars. Left unchallenged, this decisive strike could indeed pave the way for the toppling of more Republic worlds . . . and ultimate victory for the Separatists. Retaliation must be swift and certain.
Yoda: Dark Rendezvous
The savage Clone Wars have forced the Republic to the edge of collapse. During the height of the battle, on Jedi Knight escapes the carnage to deliver a message to Yoda on Coruscant. It appears that Dooku wants peace and demands a rendezvous. Chances are slim that the treacherous Count is sincere but, with a million lives at stake, Yoda has no choice. The meeting will take place on Djun, a planet steeped in evil. The challenge could not be more difficult. Can Yoda win back his once promising pupil from the dark side or will Count Dooku unleash his sinister forces against his former mentor? Either way, Yoda is sure of one thing: This battle will be one of the fiercest he will ever face.
