Actor Bruce Willis is set to star in the new Star Trek movie in the role of Kirk's father.
J. J. Abrams was not available to comment to SFcrowsnest on the casting of the Die Hard star in the role of Kirk's father for the eleventh movie in the Star Trek film franchise, but our source at Paramount Pictures said that Willis is the perfect choice to play the father, who she told us would be called George Samuel Kirk.
His main role in the film will be as the father who forbids the young Kirk to join Starfleet Academy, wanting his son to stay at home and help manage the family farm in a town called Riverside, in the US state of Iowa. Shades of the Skywalker moisture farm, there, we feel.
Oh well. SCIFI-hard, here we come.
