Forbidden Planet is hosting a signing by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone for their book The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain, a Fighting Fantasy game book. They will be at the Forbidden Planet Megastore, 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JR, on Saturday 15th December 2007 1-2pm.

Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the ground breaking Fighting Fantasy game books with the release of a special edition, hardcover version of The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain. This was the first book in the series which saw readers deciding how they wanted the book to play out. Each page gave the reader a variety of choices (sometimes decided with the throw of a dice) as to what happened next in the story. The Fighting Fantasy series has now sold in excess of 16 million copies worldwide.

Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone were two game fanatics who founded Games Workshop in 1975. Their love of role-playing games lead them to invent the part book/part game concept that ended up being Fighting Fantasy. Ian is now Creative Director of Eidos, publishers of the multimillion selling Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. He is also Chair of the Computer Skills Forum. He was awarded the OBE in 2006 for his contribution to the Computer Games Industry.

Steve is co-founder of computer game developer Lionhead Studios and he is a Professor of Games Design at Brunel University, West London.
