An actor in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is silenced after violating his confidentiality agreement on the new Indy movie.
Settling a lawsuit filed by Lucasfilm, which is producing the film, the US court entered an order that Tyler Nelson, who was hired as an actor for one scene, knowingly violated the confidentiality agreement he signed as a condition of his employment when he gave an interview to a newspaper.
"We ask every cast and crew member to sign a confidentiality agreement because we want to protect the movie's thrills and surprises for audiences," Lynn Bartsch, director of business affairs for Lucasfilm told SFcrowsnest.com. "Consequently, we think it's very important to make sure people hold to those agreements."
The specific terms of the settlement between the production and Nelson are confidential.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull should be be released by Paramount Pictures on Thursday, May 22, 2008.
