Futurama, the sci-fi animation from the creator behind The Simpsons, makes a television return on Sunday 26th October 2008 at 7.30pm on Sky1.
Set in the 31st century, Matt Groeningís Futurama has Billy West voicing Fry, the 20th century pizza delivery boy who awakes in the year 3000. Katey Sagal voices Leela, the cyclops who captains the planet express ship and is the object of Fryís affections; and John DiMaggio voices Bender, the alcohol-fueled robot.
In Benderís Big Score alien telemarketers plan to steal Earth's most historical objects, via a time-travel code tattooed on Fry's backside. Mayhem and madness ensue as Fry time travels back to the 20th century, Bender is taken by evil aliens and romantic confusion arises between Fry and Leela. Will the galaxyís most unlikely couple finally get together?
In The Beast with A Billion Backs, space itself rips open, revealing a gateway to another universe. But what lies beyond? Horror? Love? Or maybe both, if it happens to contain a repulsive, planet-sized monster with romantic intentions! Nothing less than the fate of human and robot-kind is at stake as the Futurama crew takes on The Beast with A Billion Backs.
The latest Futurama adventures feature guest appearances from celebrities including Brittany Murphy (8 Mile), former vice president Al Gore, rapper Coolio, Dan Castellaneta (The Simpsons) and Stephen Hawking.
