US military scifi publisher Baen Books is launching a line of merchandise through Café Press to include apparel, housewares, hats, bags and other such gear, sporting one of three logo styles - the classic Baen Logo, the I read Baen'd Books Logo, and the Baen Barfly Logo.
"For years, we've been hearing from our Barflies about whether we would ever offer some type Baen merchandise, whether it was T-shirts, coffee mugs, or what have you," said Toni Weisskopf, the publisher at Baen Books. "So we finally decided to take the plunge. We have, quite simply, the best, most dedicated group of fans for any US publisher in the business, and we're delighted to be offering them a chance to show their Baen pride."
In addition to publishing novels such as Lois McMaster Bujold, Eric Flint, Mercedes Lackey, Elizabeth Moon, John Ringo, and David Weber, Baen has been at the forefront of the e-books market, since the 1999 launch of their e-book website: www.webscription.net
