Peter Brett will be signing copies of his new horror novel The Painted Man at the Forbidden Planet Megastore, 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JR, on Thursday 4th September 2008 between 6-7pm.

The first non-school book Pete read was The Hobbit. At the same time he found a copy of his brothers comic, X-Men No.162, lying around. These two events would shape the course of his life. After failed attempts to become a comic book artist Pete wrote various novels that he never thought would sell while working in medical publishing.

But in June 2007 that all changed when The Painted Man, along with two sequels were bought by a publisher. He quit his job and now writes full time.

The Painted Man, is book one of the Demon trilogy. Mankind has lost the night to the corelings: demons that rise up each day at dusk, killing and destroying at will until dawn, when the sun banishes them back to the Core.

The world's few surviving humans hide behind magical wards. It seems that nothing can harm the corelings, but there are three children who may have the power to stop them.
