Science fiction author Tony Ballantyne is to visit to the BSFG in March 2009.
Tony Ballantyne has been writing Science Fiction in print since his short story The Sixth VNM in 1998. Since this time he has written many short stories and three novels: Recursion, Capacity and Divergence. Tony grew up in County Durham in the North East of England.
He studied Maths at Manchester University before moving to London for ten years where he taught first Maths and then later IT. Being a full-time teacher his writing is done in his spare time.
Tony will be visiting the Birmingham Science Fiction Group to talk about his works and what science-fiction means to him.
This will take place at the Briar Rose hotel, Bennetts Hill, Birmingham city centre (UK), on Friday 13th March 2009 at 8pm (entry from 7.30pm). Price: £3 BSFG members, £4 non-members.
