Christian Bale of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight fame, and Sam Worthington (as seen in the new Avatar movie) are coming onto Blu-ray and DVD with Terminator Salvation at the end of November 2009 - yes, just in time for your Xmas present list. The Blu-ray edition of the film will include McG's Director's cut of the film with additional footage.

Extras include Re-Forging the Future, a behind-the-scenes look at the film's production and SFX, along with The Moto-Terminator, a featurette revealing how the film's special effects crew and motorcycle manufacturer Ducati partnered to create the Moto-Terminators.

Joining Christian Bale in the fight to save the human race is a cast that includes Australian newcomer Sam Worthington (Avatar), who was cast in the role of Marcus Wright after a personal recommendation from James Cameron. It also has Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village), American hip-hop artist Common (Wanted), Anton Yelchin (Star Trek) and Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter).

John Connor (Bale) was fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row.

Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the secret behind the planned annihilation of mankind.

It weighs in at £24.99 for the Blu-ray and £19.99 for the DVD. The film is also available as part of the Terminator 1-4 DVD box set, priced at £34.99, and as a Collector's Edition Blu-ray with life-size Skull packaging for £74.99 RRP.
