Forbidden Planet blogs into the big time

Joe Gordon, the blogger for the science fiction store Forbidden Planet International, has made it into Cision's 50 UK blogs list (the only comics/sci-fi blog to do so). Well done, Joe, much deserved.

Joe Gordon has written into the Nest to say, "Please excuse blanket emailing and the possibly tooting our own horn tone of this message, but we all came back to work after the long May holiday weekend to some unexpected good news – Cision, a media intelligence company, published their first list of the top 50 UK blogs. As you’d expect there are some well known ones in there, including some spun off from mainstream media such as the Guardian, politics blogs etc."

He goes on to say, "And at number 31 there’s an entry under the subject comics – it’s the FPI blog. Obviously we’re delighted and not a little gobsmacked at this, not just getting in there but also seeing a site which primarily talks about comics, science fiction, animation and a bit of opinionated rants occasionally (guilty as charged) featuring in that kind of listing. Hopefully that says as much about how the comics medium is being viewed today as about our articles."
