There's long been a tradition in movie sites for people like Rotten Tomatoes.com to scour the world's media for film reviews and their associated ratings, then combine them and average them to give a 360 degree view of what the planet thought of a particular film. Here comes a site that aims to do the same thing for science fiction and fantasy book reviews.

It's an interesting concept and we are sure that fans will have their own views on where such an idea lives on an all-averaged scale of genius - but we quite like it, and not just because SFcrowsnest.com is one of the sites whose reviews get included in the system.

Our one reservation is this must be a lot of work to keep such a system up to date. I mean, we produce about 50 reviews with each monthly issue, and just chugging those is a piece of work - let alone trying to keep track on the book reviews that SFsite.com and the like do too on top.
Oh well, all power to them.
