A comet hits Earth and - forget about the immediate nuclear winter - it knocks our world into a new freezing cold orbit. A grim story of survival from MGM. Kind of like The Road, but with snow and a reason for the disaster.
The graphics looks a little cheap compared to say, The Day After Tomorrow.
Not sure if you actually need the Earth to be knocked off into a new orbit, Space 1999-style, either. Surely the shocking impact of such a comet would be fodder enough for any grim survivalist tale?
