It's a Rebellion at Solaris!
03/09/2009. This week, Rebellion, the European games developer and owner of the somewhat famous comic 2000 AD, along with their sci-fi and fantasy imprint, Abaddon Books, completed the acquisition of the Solaris book publishing imprint from Games Workshop for an undisclosed sum thought to be in the low millions.

Doctor Who goes dreaming
23/08/2009. The BBC has released the first image of the animated Doctor as he will appear in the new animation, Dreamland, which is due for broadcast later on in 2009. Muddle Earth is heading our way too.

Bryan Singer goes Mayan
21/08/2009. Syfy is to re-team with Bryan Singer (Superman Returns, X-Men) who executive produced the Channel's 2005 miniseries The Triangle and producer Andrew Deane (Masters of Horror, Masters of Science Fiction, Fear Itself) and Keith Addis to develop an untitled 6-hour limited series to be written by Michael Petroni (Chronicles of Narnia: The Dawn Treader, Masters of Science Fiction: The Awakening, Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys) and Michael Bond (Passengers).

James Cameron's Avatar
20/08/2009. The new trailer for James Cameronís Avatar has hit the virtual streets and it looks good. Amazing what they can do with 3D animation these days. Looks like a space marine is going native, quite literally!
