Torchwood comes to BBC Two
22/07/2007. Torchwood, the drama created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies, is currently filming for a new series which will be shown on BBC Two early next year.Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), Gwen (Eve Myles), Owen (Burn Gorman), Tosh (Naoko Mori) and Ianto (Gareth David-Lloyd) return as the close-knit team of investigators solving alien and human crimes as they delve into the underworld of modern day Cardiff.

The Empress's New Clothes
15/07/2007. Denise Van Outen (Any Dream Will Do, Chicago) and Liz White (Life On Mars), are today confirmed to star in The Empress's New Clothes, the fourth and final instalment of comedy dramas to be made by Hat Trick Productions in Northern Ireland as part of the modern anthology of Fairy Tales for BBC One.

Hidden by Torchwood
11/07/2007. John Jarrold has concluded a contract for author Steven Savile to write an audiobook for the Dr Who spin-off Torchwood. The title is Hidden. The deal was done with Michael Stevens of BBC audiobooks.

New Flash Gordon
10/07/2007. Here's a new trailer for SCIFI's re-build of the Flash Gordon series. Interesting visuals, pity about making you sit through an advert to view it though.

Eclipse Clock fun
09/07/2007. Astro-illustrator Dave Hardy has presented a rather magnificent Eclipse Clock to Sir Patrick Moore at the 50th Anniversary of The Sky At Night party on the 24th April 2007. Dave was of course his first space artist on the programme back in 1957, and still supply images - there was one last month of the new exoplanet, Gliese 581c.

07/07/2007. The BBC has confirmed that Kylie Minogue will be joining the Doctor Who cast in a major lead role in an hour-long Christmas special to be broadcast in December 2007 on BBC One.

06/07/2007. Freema Agyeman returns as Martha Jones in Who season 4 and guest stars in Torchwood.

Twelve
05/07/2007. John Jarrold has confirmed his sixth deal for a debut novelist with a major UK publisher in the last eighteen months. World rights in Jasper Kent’s Twelve - an epic novel set in the period of the battle of Borodino and its aftermath in 1812 and featuring strong supernatural elements - have been sold by Jarrold to Simon Taylor at Transworld UK (Bantam Corgi), together with an unwritten sequel, for a good five-figure sum.

Catherine Tate confirmed as new companion for Doctor Who fourth series
04/07/2007. Hot on the heels of the season three finale of Doctor Who, the BBC has announced that Catherine Tate is set to return to the Tardis for the complete 13-week run of the new BBC One series.
