SFX Weekender 2012
This year's SFX Weekender - Europe's largest SF con (think of it as the British version of Comic-con) comes to North Wales. I'm one of the guests of honour.
T his year's FantasyCon goes to the seaside in the historic Victorian city of Brighton. I'll be interviewing American author Christopher Paolini, as well as doing various panels.
Forum Fantastico [Fantastic Forum]
The national SFF con out in Portugal. They focus on Portuguese creators, from literature to graphic arts and cinema, but also have foreign guests (the likes of Christopher Priest, Paul McAuley, Nick, Sagan, Richard Morgan, Edward James, etc). Stephen Hunt will be guest of honour in 2010.

The lineup for Derby's sci-fi and fantasy fiction event, Alt.Fiction, has been confirmed. This year's lineup includes authors such as Stephen Hunt, Brian Lumley, Michael Marshall Smith, Mike Carey, Charlie Stross, Graham Joyce, Ramsey Campbell, and Justina Robson among others.
Alt:Fiction 2008 takes place on Saturday 26th April 2008 at Derby Assembly Rooms, Derby, UK, and features readings, workshops and panels with some of the UK's main science-fiction, fantasy and horror writers.
Tickets for the day cost £20, or £16 concessions and can be booked from the Assembly Rooms Box Office on 01332 255800. Doors open at 11am for a 12pm start, with a 9pm close.
