Point-and-Sci-Fi
If
ever there was a site that worshipped at the altar of mindless point-N-click
surfing, this is it.
AllSciFi is a database brim full of various reviews of SFF films,
books and television episodes - each accompanied by a weird and
wacky scorecard of statistics which is intended to allow you to
reverse engineer your tastes and pick similar material to your current
faves.
It's all rather community focused and you can submit your own reviews
into the system to add to the ever-growing database of trivia.
The usual bulletin board system is closely integrated with the
content so when you are done surfing, you can get chatting with
thousands of fellow SFF fans from around the world.
This chit chat is more focused towards the media end of things
rather than literary material, and opinions can get quite energetic
at times, so check your sensibilities in at the door please.

| It may not be the pruttyest site on the web, but boy is
it full of stuff! |
Incredibly, the entire site was created by just one person, a Mr
Steve Gordon.
As he says: "One person, creating a big site like this? Sounds
improbable. And so I created the GPSE, the Gordonator Precision
Search Engine. Catchy title, eh? All the focus groups loved it."
In a burst of kindness, our Steve has also made his own e-book
space opera-like novels available free to download, such snappy
titles as:
Invasion of the Insectiods
The Insectoids have destroyed most of the fleet in a cowardly sneak
attack. Now, humanity's only hope is left with War Admiral Norman
North and the surviving ships of the line, while Clifford Croft
leads a ragtag resistance against the invaders.
Escape From The Insectoids
The sequel to "Invasion". With humanity enslaved, the last survivors
of a small fleet led by War Admiral Norman North try to escape the
advancing Insectoid fleets while searching for a new weapon that
they can use to fight back.
Death to the Insectoids!
The sequel to "Escape", and the conclusion of the trilogy. While
War Admiral Norman North gathers the fleet to destroy the Insectoids,
Clifford Croft must lead the resistance in a desperate fight to
free August.
With all this on offer, how can you possibly refuse?
