Workshop session
Alt.Fiction is made up of a number of different types of sessions, each of which offers something different to the next. Here’s what you can expect from the sessions on the day.
Readings - The
author or authors will read a segment from one of their books.
Q+A- This is your chance to pose a question to authors or panellists, which
they will in turn answer.
Interview - A one-on-one sessions featuring a knowledgeable individual conducting an interview with an author.
Audience Discussion - More interactive than a Q+A, this is your chance to raise points you would like addressed and discussed. More of an open forum on the relevant topic.
Book Launch - These sessions will offer information on new releases and readings from these books. The sessions will close with the chance to meet the authors and publishers.
Panel Discussion - A discussion on the relevant topic among the members of the panel.
Workshop session - Workshops present the opportunity for you to get new ideas for writing and tips from leading writers. These will often involve practical exercises, so bring you pen and paper (and a willing attitude)!!
