StoneTrek

Don't know what the Paramount legal sharks would ever make of this site if they stumbled across it, but we know what we think here at the 'Nest... fantastic, fantastic, fantastic.

Have you ever wondered what you'd get if you transported Star Trek into the Flintstones cartoon world?

Why, you'd get StoneTrek, the continuing mission of a bunch of Flintstone'd Classic Trek characters (e.g. Spock, McCoy, Kirk etc) in a wooden spaceship and rather dodgy technology.

This site has been done in Macromedia Flash and there's the first of a promised animated series of cartoon episodes on the site.

This is no fanboy tribute featuring stick men drawing skills; the art on this is so slick that you'll find it hard to believe that it wasn't done by the original Flintstones illustrators.

What can we say but WOW!

Watch it while you can - e.g. before some suit at Paramount realizes what a hit Jim Kirkstone and his crew is going to be and reaches for a couple of writs and shuts this baby down!

Our only complaint is that the download speed is a little slow under the weight of obvious traffic (the creator is running it off a free site so you'll see a couple of pop-up adverts too).

Visit it here, and treat yourselves to an early Christmas present ...
