The Fading of the Light 10/11/2003 . Source: Jessica Martin
SF magazine Interzone downsizes from a monthly to bi-monthly schedule. Oh dear, here's another nail in the coffin for the struggling short story format SFF magazine.
That most trusty and regular of British titles, Interzone, is wheezing its way from a monthly to bi-monthly publishing schedule. This form of literary bed rest is never a good thing, and is oft followed a few years down the line by the spluttering death rattle of closing doors for publications that take to it.
Having broken many - if not all - of the new authorly science fiction talent since the 1980s in its distinguished (and some might say too-highbrow) pages, it would be a crying shame if this last platform of respectable publicity for new SFF writers were to vanish.
Subscription details to support this most worthy of causes are available over at www.sfsite.com/interzone/.
