Hot on the heels of cementing development deals with Ridley Scott and Frank Darabont, the SciFi Channel has partnered with Hollywood heavyweight Michael De Luca (Magnolia, Rush Hour, Blade) on his first-ever television endeavor. Buy Darwin's Children in the USA - or Buy Darwin's Children in the UK  Based on Del Rey's two novels by Greg Bear, DARWIN'S RADIO and its sequel DARWIN'S CHILDREN, are intended to be developed as an eight-hour, original miniseries that portrays what happens when the next step of humanity's evolution threatens our perception of who we are and possibly mankind's own existence.
De Luca, former head of development for New Line and DreamWorks, will executive produce the project with Created By partners Ralph Vicinanza and Vince Gerardis (Riverworld, Red Mars) and Howard Braunstein (NBC's 10.5) through his company Jaffe/Braunstein Films.
