Vernor and Harry

Summer update on the doings of SF authors Vernor Vinge and Harry Harrison. Had a couple of quick chats with science fiction authors Vernor Vinge and Harry Harrison about what they are up to at the moment.
Here's the update on their works in progess.
Vernor is still working on a novel-length prequel to his book "Fast Times at Fairmont High". This is a relatively near-future novel that takes place in Southern California. With some good luck, Vernor reckons it will be out in late 2005.
He also points to some recent short fiction of his ... "The Cookie Monster", which appeared in Analog in October 2003 and "Synthetic Serendipity" in IEEE Spectrum, this month, July 2004.
Harry, meanwhile, says he currently has no new novels in the works - though he is presently working on two graphic novels. No titles, delivery or publication dates yet - but they'll be posted on his web site when he gets the data.
