2004 Locus Awards Winners

The bible of the SFF literary world announces its annual award winners. You will find the winners of the '04 Locus Awards in print in full in their July 2004 edition, as well as in brief online over here.
The highlights include the best science fiction novel going to Dan Simmons' 'Ilium', and the best fantasy work being scooped by Lois McMaster Bujold's 'Paladin of Souls'.
Haven't read the latter, but the former was a cracking read (not sure about the best book of 2004, though).
