A Comic July? 02/07/2004 . Source: Jessica Martin
Del Rey Books are planning a road trip to San Diego Comic-Con this July, with a large party of their authors in tow. Del Rey Books are planning a road trip to San Diego Comic-Con July 21st -25th. You'll also be able to pick the brains of pretty much the entire Del Rey staff, who have decided - against all good sense - to brave this convention en masse.
Holding down the fort will be Betsy Mitchell, VP & Editor-in-Chief; Dallas Middaugh, Del Rey Director of Manga; Steve Saffel; Editorial Director of Media Projects; Shelly Shapiro, Editorial Director; and Editor Chris Schluep; Jennifer Osborne, Director of Licensed Media for Ballantine Books; and two folks from their beleaguered publicity department, Colleen Lindsay and Heather Smith.
At the Del Rey booth you'll also get to meet: TERRY BROOKS (High Druid of Shannara: Tanequil); GREG KEYES (The Charnel Prince: Book Two of The Kingdom of Thorn & Bones); CHINA MIEVILLE (Iron Council); STEVEN BARNES (Star Wars: The Cestus Deception); ALEXANDER IRVINE (One King, One Soldier); ANDY FOX (Bride of the Fat White Vampire); MINISTER FAUST (Coyote Kings of the Space-Age Bachelor Pad); TIM ZAHN (Star Wars: Survivor's Quest); HOWARD V. HENDRIX (The Labyrinth Key); GREG BEAR (Dead Lines); and MARK COTTA VAZ (Caught in the Web: Dreaming Up the World of Spider-Man 2).
Their friends on the 10th Floor, Alfred A Knopf for Young Readers, are letting their bestselling author CHRISTOPHER PAOLINI (Eragon) come out to play with the Del Rey crew, too!
You can stop by the Del Rey booth for a copy of the booth signing schedule for the weekend, and look for Del Rey authors and editors on panels throughout the weekend.
