The Casanova of Science Fiction?

SF author Tom Purdom to read from his Casanova series of stories.

The Philadelphia Fantastic crew have dropped the Nest a line to let you know you can meet author Tom Purdom and hear him read from a new version of his acclaimed Casanova series of stories, a shorter compilation he calls, " The Casanova Suite."

The time is Friday, May 28th, 2004, 7:30 PM; the place is Barnes and Noble Booksellers, 1805 Walnut St., Philadelphia, PA, the US of A.

Tom's fiction spans a career which started with Grieve for the Man, published in the August, 1957 issue of Fantastic Universe and continues as strong as ever to the present day.

His short fiction has appeared in Asimov's, Analog, The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Galaxy, Amazing and various anthologies. His novels, I Want The Stars, The Treelord of Imeten, Five Against Arlane and The Barons of Behavior appeared under the Ace imprint and his novel, Reduction in Arms appeared under the Berkley imprint.

Tom edited one anthology, Adventures in Discovery which was a collection of commissioned articles on science by Asimov, Silverberg, Anderson and other leading science fiction writers.

He will also serve as a Special Guest at the 2004 Philcon.
