Jarrold has the Write Stuff 14/05/2004 . Source: Jessica Martin
Ex-SFF editor John Jarrold becomes a Write Words site expert. John Jarrold, long a feature on the professional British SF scene, has now agreed to become the SFF site expert for Write Words, a rather nicely done community and information site for budding authorly talent.
Write Words - which costs c. £35 a year to join for full access - is one of the more professional venues for would-be writers to hone their talents and access up-to-date details of agents, publishers etc. We'd go as far as to say that it's 'the' best writer's site in the UK, and possibly the USA too.
John has run three science fiction and fantasy imprints - Orbit, Legend and Earthlight. Authors he has published and edited include Iain M Banks, Greg Bear, Ray Bradbury, David Gemmell, Jon Courtenay Grimwood, Harry Harrison, Robert Holdstock, Robert Jordan, Michael Moorcock and Tad Williams.
Since becoming a freelance editor in 2002, he has worked on SF and fantasy, as well as with thrillers, mysteries, historical fiction and general non-fiction.
His script-doctoring talent is available via https://www.sff.net/people/john-jarrold/ while Write Words can be accessed over at www.writewords.org.uk
