Aliens Down Mexico Way?
13/05/2004 Source: Jessica Martin

The Mexican Air Command broadcasts official UFO footage on TV.

Some interesting Fortean-style happenings in the heat of the Mexican night.

Yesterday evening, Mexico's national television news broadcast recent UFO footage just officially released by the Mexican Air Force.

The weird stuff happened in the febrile skies above Campeche in early March this year, when a MAF jet on an anti-drug aircraft interdiction mission was cruising at just under 12,000 feet, only to suddenly find itself encircled by multiple unknown glowing objects, one of which was clocked by radar pulling G' at over Mach Twenty.

The pilots on the aircraft visually sighted around 11 objects, although their radar records only showed three. The spooked pilots recorded the incident on the infrared night video camera they were using to hunt down narco-running aircraft, and the tape confirms the pilot account of being buzzed and surrounded by a number of unknown objects with lights with active heat signatures twisting around them at about two miles out.

The SecGen of the Mexican Defence Department, Ricardo Vega Garcia himself authorised the material to be de-classified & released to the media for scientific study, but was quick to point out that although they haven't identified what buzzed their jet, he had no official conclusion on the incident's source, and was ordering Air Command not to talk about flying saucers and aliens, on the basis that it would make them look a little silly.

Well, E.T. likes a good taco as much as the rest of us ... right?
