The New Dune Movie? 12/05/2004 . Source: Jessica Martin
The Chronicles of Riddick (Pitch Black's sequel) is shaping up to be the SF film of the year. Pitch Black was a science fiction movie with a very small budget, a plot best described as 'Alien' with wings, and proved so surprisingly good that it catapulted actor Vin Diesel into the position of being Hollywood's new favourite action star.
Here at the Nest we've been on the receiving end of the publicity build-up for the sequel to Pitch Black, 'The Chronicles of Riddick', and what a difference a multi-million dollar SFX budget makes.
The visuals for the new movie are amazing, and very reminiscent of the old Dune movie - lots of battles and political intrigue that look like they could have been lifted straight out of God Emperor of the Hot Sand Planet (or whatever).
The film is coming out first in the USA around June 11th 2004, and a little later in the UK and Europe.
But don't take our word for it. Check out the new amazing full QuickTime trailer over at www.thechroniclesofriddick.com.
Wow.
