Meisha Merlin closes the door to newbies 27/04/2004 . Source: Jessica Martin
SFF book publisher Meisha Merlin pours its slush away. More bad news for new wannabe SFF authors.
Meisha Merlin, the innovative small press fast becoming a much bigger one, is, as of this time, no longer accepting submissions.
Due to changes in their publication schedule, Meisha Merlin are unfortunately no longer able to consider works by new authors, at least for the next year or so. Presumably if your name is Terry Pratchett or JK Rowling, you're still good to go.
Their submissions process for science fiction and fantasy cover artists remains open, however.
Meisha Merlin is the brainchild of Stephen Pagel (MM's President and Senior Editor), who has used his contacts as former national buyer for Barnes and Noble in the USA to good effect since 1996.
If you have any questions on the close of submissions, you can drop Meisha's Junior Editor, Alan Siler a line at alan@meishamerlin.com
