John's Site for Sore Eyes 14/04/2004 . Source: Jessica Martin
Famed SFF editor turned script doctor John Jarrold has a new online home. John Jarrold, ex of more SFF book publishing imprints than we'd care to name (but Earthlight jumps oddly to mind) has just set up a new online home.
Here's what John had to say to the 'Nest about it and his latest doings ...
"I wanted to set up a website to help publicise my script doctor venture; it gives readers an idea of who I am and what I do very quickly, and Mark Roberts designed it wonderfully well.
I'll be delighted to hear from anyone who thinks I can be of use on the editing front. In the last few months I've edited a published US author, several new writers from the UK and also been asked by a UK publisher to structurally edit by an author they have just taken on for three books, who I published a few years ago.
Had meetings in New York and London with literary agents who want me to work with long-term authors through new ideas and changes of directions and get typescripts by their new authors as ready for publication as they can be.
I'm also being asked to look through synopses and outlines to make them as professional as possible. So, as you can see, the remit of what I'm doing is very wide!"
