How short is your Fantasy ... 06/04/2004 . Source: Jessica Martin
The BFS launches its '04 short story competition. The British Fantasy Society has today announced the launch of its 2004 short story competition.
The theme is open and the genre can be fantasy, dark fantasy or horror.
The winner will be chosen by a leading Literary Agent in the genre and the award will be made before the presentation of the British Fantasy Awards at the society's annual convention in September 2004.
As a general Nest-type observation, the BFS tend much more towards Lovecraft's idea of dark fantasy, rather than the David Eddings school of flashing sabres-n-wizards.
