Volunteer for an Odyssey 10/03/2004 . Source: Jessica Martin
Wisconsin's cuddliest SFF con needs a few brave (wo)men for April. Are you one of them? Crikes, here comes Odyssey Con IV, Wisconsin's most friendly science fiction and fantasy convention.
Their guests of honor are Hugo and Nebula award winning Joe Haldeman (author of Forever War, Peace etc), David Weber, best known for his Honor Harrington military SF series - and Eric Larson as fan guest of honor.
In keeping with the varied interests of their guests of honor, there will be a variety of programming and events in four separate tracks.
Gaming will be run by Madison's 'Pegasus Games' featuring various game masters.
Available to both gamers and regular attendees, their dealer's room should offer a selection of games, books, jewelry and collectables available for purchase.
There will also be independent party rooms sponsored by Tor Books, and several fan and local convention groups. On Friday night, fans who can find the groove in their heart and the boogey in their pants will be able to dance to world and techno music at the 'Fan Dance'. We can only imagine the fun!
On Saturday night they'll be the traditional masquerade.
Volunteers are encouraged to contact them. The Con particularly needs people willing to volunteer in the ConSuite and at the Registration Table, and there are many opportunities to participate on panels. Odyssey Con is also encouraging fans interested in throwing room parties or holding other special events to contact them.
The Con runs Radisson Inn, Madison WI, USA, April 2nd-4th, 2004.
