Transfinite issue two hits the streets
09/02/2005 Source: Jessica Martin

The second issue of PDF magazine Transfinite is now avaliable.

Still avaliable for £2, and still with 45 pages of fully illustrated science-fiction goodness ... well, so says editor Richard Tongue, anyway.

Issue Two continues the themes of Issue One, with an equal balance of fiction and essays.

George Brereton has provided the continuation of his story, 'Counting Sheep', and there are two other stories; 'Empire Rise, Empire Fall' , by James Targett, sees a group of future archaeologists poking through the ruins of an ancient capital, and Corey Kellgren's, 'By Virtue of Our Humanity' takes a look at an alien religion that affects Earthmen far too much.

On the non-fiction front, they have the second in Ben Turner's, 'The Future of War' series, looking at the tank and its descendants, and three essays from theircontributors to Issue One; Carter T. Brenner looks at the Apollo capsule in much the same way as he did the Gemini, J.T. Pitt looks at the 'Quatermass' TV series of the Fifties, and Rob Owen looks at 'The Evolution of Catastrophe'.

As before, the magazine is illustrated inside and out with a cover by Matt Bober.
