Elizabeth Moon speeds up 07/02/2005 . Source: Jessica Martin
Film rights to Elizabeth Moon's Nebula Award-winning novel THE SPEED OF DARK have been optioned by Scott Steindorff's Stone Village Productions. Stone Village previously produced the film adaptation of Philip Roth's THE HUMAN STAIN and the production company is known for its skill in shepherding literature to the screen. They're apparently in discussion with a couple screenwriters and an actor to play Lou.
That's not the only news surrounding THE SPEED OF DARK. It's been selected as the campus-wide Summer Reading 2005 title for the State University of New York-Oneonta, after having been chosen for United We Read Kansas City in 2004.
