Neil Gaiman on March 2005 Fast Forward 12/03/2005 . Source: Jessica Martin
Writer Neil Gaiman is interviewed on this month's episode of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction. Gaiman talks about his range of writing projects, including his involvement with the upcoming film, MirrorMask. In conversation with host Tom Schaad, Gaiman talks about his books, graphic novels, writing for children, directing his first film (A Short Film About John Bolton), and his wildly popular web log.
According to Gaiman, posting on the internet about his everyday life can lead to some odd and humorous moments: "You'll be doing a book signing for people and a total stranger will ask you after your cats by name or ask about the living room carpet or whatever it was that you put in there."
The March episode of Fast Forward also features Colleen Cahill's review of Michael A. Stackpole's new novel, A Secret Atlas, the first book of the Age of Discovery trilogy.
In addition, there is a short segment remembering author, editor and publisher Jack L. Chalker, who passed away in February.
Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction is a monthly half-hour television series about the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Fast Forward is produced by D.G. Productions through the facilities of Arlington Independent Media in Arlington, Virginia.
The show has been in production since 1989 and can be viewed on cable systems in Arlington and Fairfax counties in Virginia. Recent interviews are also available online at http://www.fast-forward.tv
