New Star Trek movie confirmed

If you thought Trek was dying with the Enterprise series, here's some good news ... hello to a new film. Buy Star Trek in the USA - or Buy Star Trek in the UK  Some good news from Paramount at last for angry Trek fans, writer Erik Jendresen (aka Band of Brothers) has started work on a draft for the 11th movie in the Star Trek franchise.
An Enterprise movie has been ruled out, but informed insider gossip has it that the new film will be about time travel and feature a mix of characters from the various series - so possibly some temporal cold war story-line material coming your way - with original classic Trek and next gen characters all mixed up.
Could this be shades of The Five Doctors episode of Doctor Who? Only time will quite literally tell.
