SFF author Mary is back with a new novel, A Thread of Grace. Mary Doria Russell's first novel, The Sparrow, was a work of speculative fiction about a failed Jesuit mission to outer space. While The Sparrow explored God's role in our universe, Russell's new endeavor - her first in seven years - is an anti-war novel that presents a world that God has abandoned.
A Thread of Grace is a morally complex, character-driven novel set against the backdrop of World War II Italy.
