New publishing house launches 16/08/2005 . Source: Jessica Martin
New fiction imprint Reverb is launched by Osiris Press. What are they looking for? Well, in their own words ...
"Reverb publishes books by and for the media-literate generation, generally in the 20-50 age group. We are looking for literary fiction that is aware of contemporary popular culture: music, films, TV, the internet and other contemporary fiction. Please consider carefully whether your book belongs in this category (look at our existing titles as a guide). We do not generally publish fiction in the traditional 'romantic', 'historic' or 'thriller' genres."
"We are also firmly committed to the quality of writing - while we edit every book carefully, and are happy to work with authors on their text, we expect certain standards of grammar, punctuation and structure. Please note: we do not accept unfinished works. Please wait until your manuscript is complete before contacting us."
"We are interested in graphic novels, but please note we currently only publish black and white illustrations. If you wish to submit a graphic novel, please contact us first."
You can find Reverb over at www.readreverb.com, while their parent firm is at these coordinates: www.osirispress.co.uk
