Fantasy writer Terry Pratchett is interviewed on this month's episode of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction. Pratchett discusses his latest Discworld novel, Thud! Buy Thud in the USA - or Buy Thud in the UK  In the interview, Pratchett talks about the growth and development of Sam Vimes and other characters in his books. He also discusses other aspects of the Discworld mythos, including Discworld stamps and his new picture book, Where's My Cow. A video version of the complete interview will be available online.
The October 2005 episode of Fast Forward also features Colleen Cahill's review of the Merchant Princes fantasy series, written by Charles Stross.
Marianne Petrino reviews the anime series Boogiepop Phantom in this month's media segment.
Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction is a monthly half-hour television series about the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Fast Forward is produced by D.G. Productions through the facilities of Arlington Independent Media in Arlington, Virginia.
The show has been in production since 1989 and can be viewed on cable systems in the Virginia counties of Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun, as well as Baltimore City in Maryland.
