The Finnish fantasy short film Domoi - The Voyage Home, premieres at Austin's Fantastic fest Film Festival in October 2005. Buy Domoi - The Voyage Home in the USA - or Buy Domoi - The Voyage Home in the UK  The film is a debut film for finnish film producer/director Toni Pykäläniemi. The story is about a relationship between a mother and a child that is stronger than death itself. The film aims to mix fantasy and horror in to create an eerie world of fantasy.
Director/producer Toni Pykäläniemi has directed commercials and corporate videos as well as short films before Domoi - The Voyage Home. Pykäläniemi's earlier films have been seen and awarded in festivals in Finland and in Europe.
His ambition is to create a strong visual and emotional atmosphere that will take viewer on journey throughout time and space. The director, whose mother tongue is Finnish, chose to use Russian as the language for the film.
Domoi - The Voyage Home had its world premiere in July 2005 at the Puchon International Fantasy Film Festival in South Korea.
