New Doctor Who is here to stay 21/12/2005 . Source: Jessica Martin
David Tennant says he's here to stay when he meets Jonathan Ross in the last show of Ross's current series this Friday - on the eve of his Doctor Who debut. Buy Doctor Who in the USA - or Buy Doctor Who in the UK Casanova star Tennant takes control of the TARDIS for the first time in a special on Christmas Day on BBC One.
"It's almost too exciting, all a bit daunting. It was the most successful TV show of the year; if it all goes wrong it's my fault," he says. "I loved it when I was a kid. Tom Baker was the one I grew up with," he continues. "It's a bit of a gamble. The danger is that you get stuck with it, but the only other option is you don't do it. I didn't want to be that guy. As long as I don't get the sack, I'll do another series."
